Terms of Engagement

Attorneys Klinique is a Nigerian law firm registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as a business name, No. 9868241, under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020. References to “the firm”, “we” or “us” mean Attorneys Klinique and its partners.

You must be 18 or older to create an account, and you confirm this when you sign up. A matter concerning someone under 18 must be brought by a parent or legal guardian. If you use the portal for a company or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to act for it.

A lawyer-client relationship is formed only when both you and Attorneys Klinique have signed a formal engagement letter. Booking a consultation, making a payment, or communicating with the firm does not by itself create a lawyer-client relationship. Until a formal engagement is established, information you share with us may not be protected by legal professional privilege.

Consultation fees are as displayed at the time of booking. All fees are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise stated. Payment is required in full before a consultation is confirmed. Fees shown on the website are indicative; final fees are confirmed at the time of booking.

Rescheduling is free if done at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the consultation fee. No-shows are non-refundable. Full details are provided at the time of booking.

Once a formal engagement is established, all communications between you and your assigned partner are protected by legal professional privilege. Before that, we still keep what you tell us confidential and use it only to respond to you, but privilege may not apply. The firm will not disclose your information to third parties except as required by law, as described in our Privacy Notice, or with your express consent.

Material in the portal that is marked confidential, or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential, must not be disclosed, copied or passed on to anyone who is not authorised to see it, except where the law requires or permits it.

Our guide, document explainer, evidence organiser and price check give general legal information to help you understand your situation and prepare. They are not legal advice on your specific case and do not create a lawyer-client relationship. Some answers are written by an AI assistant, which is only used with your consent and is labelled as such. Always speak to a partner before acting on anything important, and do not miss a deadline while waiting for an answer from these tools.

Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your sign in details, codes and devices secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Partners and staff must use two factor sign in.

You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not use the platform to submit false or misleading information, to upload anything you have no right to share, to copy or extract its content or data by automated means, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to circumvent any security measures.

No part of it may be reproduced, copied, adapted, modified, published, distributed, transmitted, stored, communicated to the public, incorporated into another work or application, or otherwise used, in whole or in part, without the prior written authorisation of Attorneys Klinique, except as expressly permitted by applicable law.

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, as explained in our Privacy Notice. You can exercise your data protection rights from your profile page or by emailing attorneysklinique@gmail.com.

We may update these terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page. If a change affects what you agreed to, we will ask you to accept the new version on your profile page.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
